Steel industry is a typical process industry. The control strategy of entire process and integrated process must be considered for each process stage. Following aspects were summarized including the design of steel material production, the selection, configuration and optimization of steel process, the prediction and control of the structure and performances of steel materials, the optimization position of the steel process control window, the short process technology, the simplified process, and the intelligent manufacturing of steel production, with an expect to initiate a hot discussion so as to attract steel researchers to put forward innovative ideas, develop innovative technologies, promote the supply- side structural reform of the steel industry, and accelerate the construction of innovative steel industry.
